INSTRUCTIONS
RESEARCH
We did most of our research at this point, so it was mainly execution of our design ideas. We only had to look up for more references if we feel the need for it.
PROCESS
Week 7
With both proposal and ideation stage done, we can move on to creating the prototypes of our deliverables. Since I had been working social media posts, I was assigned to create more for the prototype. The Business School (TBS) students had provided a few suggestions for the social media content. One of them was a meet-the-team post series, so I started drafting it out.

Figure 1.2: Meet-the-team posts, digitised |
I digitsed my draft, trying out and see if the idea works. Halfway through I realised there was only five members (I thought it was six, hence the draft had more) from TBS and took out the confusing one amongst my draft. I tried to stick to only the graphic elements we agreed in our brand guideline so it matches the rest of our content.
Week 8
I was asked to help with the packaging design as well, since TBS students needed the prototype urgently. I mostly helped out in minor stuff, like designing the instructional icons and nutritional facts table. I started with the icons. TBS students had provided the instruction to us, so I tried to visualise the best I could.

Figure 1.4: Sketch for instructional icons |
I wasn't sure which style would work best for the packaging design, so I provided two options for the team— one coloured and one "black-and-white".

After completing the icons, I worked on the nutritional facts table. TBS students had also provided the document for all the calculations, and we only had to rework it to fit into a table. Easier said than done, honestly.
With the limited amount of space our packaging had, we needed to cram all the information provided while leaving space for other elements. I wasn't sure how much space was left on the packaging design, but I knew I need to make it as fitting as possible. I did go for the classic design of the nutritional table, but I also made a different version, mostly inspired from a packaging of a food I usually buy.

In the meantime, I started working on the Instagram reels. I worked on the "How to Consume" reel first, since I didn't have any photos or videos or content that can be used for the "Behind the Scenes" reel. I decide to animate them in After Effects (and create the assets in Illustrator).

Week 9
Finally, a session with Ms Lilian. We went through a much needed feedback session and we got back to work. I fixed one of the social media post according to her feedback. TBS students also gave their profile photos and full names, so I added them to the design.

They also provided the photos and videos for the "Behind the Scenes" reel, so I can start working on the reel. However, there wasn't a lot of footage and the pictures weren't as good of a quality as I wanted it to be. Therefore, I still relied heavily on animating in After Effects.
Eventually, both videos are done.

The other deliverables were also completed by other team members, and we only had to compile them all into our slides for our presentation in Week 10.
FEEDBACK
Week 7
Brand guideline
- Very clear brand guideline
Social Media
- Layout is consistent
- Try to keep the symbol 'K' consistent (keep it in a circle)
- Keto Bingo: suggestion to add the logo to solidify the brand identity
Packaging
- Brand logo is utilized well
- Colour choice shows sustainability (recyclable)
- Test the pastel orange and try out different colours
Flyer
- Use the mascot
- Try not to hide any features bc no one knows him
- Graphics are a little different from brand guideline
Extra stuff
- Utilize the mascot more
- Don't kill yourself
Week 9
Packaging
- The brown packaging shows that it's sustainable and matches your colour palette
- Transferring to the new strip is not much problem since content is still the same
- The size of strip (newly updated) is still a comfortable width, can be used
- Remove the pumpkin photography so there will be more space
- Add the mascot somewhere
Social Media Posts
- The K logo sometimes is distracting since the overlapping drop shadow (a bit repetitive)
- The content and colour is consistent
- The wheat post might have to make it more dynamic (find other ways to play with it), currently look too much like a badge
Flyers
- The green is the better option
- The layout at the bottom left looks better
Advertisement
- The tone of voice is consistent
- Too much information
- Might not need to animate ALL the text (especially at the parts that has video)
- The transition between the things are about to get sustainable, just jump to the healthier cleaner part (get rid of the packaging section)
- Mixed feelings about zero worries, zero regrets
- Do not to pan out to the posters
- Proudly serve -> show product -> Kita Keto
- Can give QR code or socials in the end
NEXT COURSE OF ACTION
Week 7
- Explore further on the packaging design and compare
- Try to find more situations where the mascot can be implemented
- Find a compromise in the deliverables, do not do more than can be handled
Week 9
- Improve upon the packaging design according to feedback received
- Fix up the advertisement video to be more entertaining

REFLECTIONS
Experience
The workload has increased, in a way. With a few member being not as active as they should, we had to cover some parts by our own (and I mean, the few active ones). Having to meet the small deadlines from TBS students was also a challenge, since they would also ask for last-minute changes. There was the instance when we had to rush the packaging design because they wanted to do a trial run, so we sent what we had even if we weren't fully satisfied with it. At least we got some feedback on how to improve it, though we had to overhaul the entire design. Still, I'm glad we managed to complete all the deliverables on time, with extra content to boot.
Observation
When left to our choice, we tend to choose brown and green for our designs. It's well-known as a healthy or sustainable colour, hence why it influences our design so much.
