INSTRUCTIONS

To-Do List:

Create a proposal of a design, backed by research, for the theme 'Purpose'

We held a meeting to discuss possible ideas for research. The ideas pitched are collected and pasted in Miro board, for easier future reference.

In the end, we chose cosplay as our research topic. We then divide our task and look up on any information about cosplaying to get a better insight about its culture. Our findings are compiled in a Google Doc.

Once we have enough information, we transferred the information into the slides and recorded ourselves presenting our research. Here is the slides for our proposal.

REFLECTIONS

This assignment has me intrigued in the culture of cosplaying. When the idea was mentioned, I thought there was not much to write home about. But after an initial research, I learned the history of cosplaying, its etymology, and influences— which made the topic all the more interesting to me. I look forward to the next assignment, where we can dive deeper into the culture and understand the purpose of cosplaying.
